Ermyced Lotion is a bacteriostatic macrolide antibiotic, but may be bactericidal in high concentrations. Although the mechanism by which topical erythromycin acts in reducing inflammatory lessions of Acne vulgaris is unknown, it is presummable due to its antibiotic action.
